It’s that time Again…

to post my finishes for OPAM and "Sew it's Finished" .



I am pleased to be able to show you my very first Post Card. A “Pincushion Hakea” an Australian native which grows on The Block. It was sent Karen in Canada… It took sew long to arrive I was worried it had got lost…..



and this is the lovely one I received from Karen. Love it….

These are two cushion covers I made for  my partner Clare in the "Lets Celebrate  Swap" for Spring.



the cushions are also my UFO finish for this month’s  “Sew it’s Finished”

This cute little Sewing Case was our SAL project for August.





Finally the bag make from the panel I made at the Mesh Work Shop I attended the other week.





Thank you to ALL the ladies who helped me get these finishes this month…
Only 6 weeks to our Hanging…. I better get into the cave and do some quilting……….

What did you

over the past few days ???  On Friday I turned this……..



                                             
into this…

 Saturday I went to Patch and did the “Focal Point” workshop taught by Sandi…



all the ladies are concentrating really hard and by the end of the day we had all completed our tops…



Sandi’s is the Pretty Pink one with the beautiful quilting. 

Later in the evening I went into the cave and completed my mini quilt…




then on Sunday I did Lesson 9 of A 4 A Blocks..




Oh and have finished quilting my North Poll Wall hanging.. Looks better from the back. “Fiona” it did talk to me and never seemed to shut up…LOL






it’s time for a Milo and then bed…

It is Hump Day again (well it was 6 mins ago ) and that means I can post what I have been up to with my flowers…



Apart from stitching them onto my pants……



Have completed row two now. Thanks to Karen from OFW for keeping me and others on track…

Have completed the Stitchery my friend Ellyn designed for August



and look at what my friend Betty from cards bought in for me today…





A fabulous stand for all my rulers. Her DH made it for me and I love it….. Sew easy to access the rulers when I want one…. Thanks Brian…..

Look what has Arrived

A beautifully wrapped parcel from Peg @ "Happy in Quilting".



I could hardly wait to open it…





WOW!!! Look at all the goodies.. A journal covered with gorgeous fabric, chocolate, Peg’s piggy jellies and the lovely FQ it was wrapped in…..






and I just LOVE my “Winter Mini” a beautifully stitched Bunny with his floppy ears……. Aren’t the colours great ?? Thank you heaps Peg…

Oh I do need to give it a good press….. Sorry Bunny..

FNSI…..

I didn’t know where to start this week for FNSI as I have my quilts scattered around the cave all ready to have the bottom hem of their sleeves sewn on for our Hanging In October…







Managed to complete three , then tidy up and made my 8th block for Aim 4 Acc….





and completed the SAL project for August…

OFW, FNSI plus more….. long post.

Opps!! it’s not Wednesday but Thursday at my house.. Ah well I know it is still Wednesday somewhere…



Pleased to say my “Fussy Cut” flowers quilt is growing… thanks to Karen. Sew do pop over and see what the others have been sewing too.

Oh and before I forget it is FNSI tomorrow night sew go on over to Wendy's to sign up… Love to sew along with you….

and TAA DAH!!!!!!!!  North Pole flimsy put together….





it did take a bit of tweaking and fiddling but I am really happy with it.. I decided on the Maroon border as I didn’t want Blues …. Maybe for the binding, not sure…
Now to quilt it and then play with the embellishing…YEH!!!!!!!

have Clare’s parcel all packed ready to go in the post tomorrow for “ Let’s Celebrate” swap..




and there is a Birthday FQ parcel going too…Shhhhhhhh!!!

Fun at the Workshop…

On Saturday I attended a “Meshing Workshop” run by Joy and Sandi  with my friends at Patch…
We had a fabulous day learning a new fiddley skill…





and of course we had lots of yummy morning tea and Pumpkin soup with fresh bread and quiche for lunch.. Sorry no photos, too busy to get back to work….








These are the three pieces I worked on… Now to make them into something ????

OFW, Gifts and Goodies……

Have only added ONE flower to my row this week for OFW with Karen....

My friend Sue has returned from a long holiday overseas and she bought me some lovely little gifts…
This is the cutest tiny pincushion I have seen.. It sits on top of your cotton reel. Great when you are hand sewing.






I love the pin with the darling charms. Of course Sue had to get a Hexagon for me!!!!

and this DVD…



Sue and I went to the movies to see ”Quartet” and I just loved it and didn’t want the movie to end. Now I can watch it all the time.. Thanks Sue, really thoughtful gifts.


and look at the yummy fabrics that arrived in the post…



for now I will just enjoy looking at them……
