Sent and received.
There’s been same nice softies in the mail for me and I have also sent off a few.
This is the Santa Sack with goodies I sent to my partner Christine.
and here is the beautiful Sack Christine sent. I did feel, gently shake and squeeze the gifts before popping them back in the Sack waiting to be opened Christmas day.
We will be adding more gifts each month. Thanks Cheryll For running the Swap
Have sent these blocks off to Gai.
I received this lovely Christmas Swap Block from Leona with some great goodies.
Loved my note with the smily face.
Thanks to both Christine and Leona for their gifts.
I enjoyed doing the little stitchery on the journal cover. Made for a special friend.

FNSI Doubled.
For FNSI I decided to try and get one of my UFO’s made and empty one of my boxes. The project I chose I had worked on at Patch. Maybe I can get it finished.
I stitched and stitched
and stitched
and by midnight I had a lot of the quilt top done
BUT realised I still had to find the requirements for a workshop I was going to in the morning. So I stopped sewing.
These are my friends from Patch all busy working on the project. Applique using freezer paper.
We were all pleased with the blocks we worked on.
Tonight I continued my FNSI with all the ladies overseas. I still did not finish my quilt top.
Still have these to stitch on.
Will work on it again tomorrow.
It was fun doing a DOUBLE FNSI with you all.

My First Flowers
When blog hopping I have often spotted lovely Hexies made by ladies who joined Karen at One Flower Wednesday. This week I also signed up. I managed to stitch not one but TWO flowers for my garden.
It will be fun to make many more and see my Hexie garden grow.

This and that.
It has been a cold windy day today. So after my walk I spent most of the day inside.
Finished this tote.
Chatted on the phone. Sat and did lots of blog hopping.
Several ladies had been baking so decided that was a good way to warm the place a little so made these for DH.
He loves ANZAC biscuits. Thanks Jenny for the recipe.
My DD2 sent this photo of my GD2. Stitching on the machine that was given to me for my 21st which I have now passed on to her.
It will be nice if she has as much pleasure sewing on the Bernina as I did.
Last Saturday it was our Red Hatters monthly luncheon. thought I would share a few photos of the day.
“Thumb licking good Mussels”
Good food , lots of chatting and laughter.

Bit of a Prickle!!!
My friend “Oscar” was getting too BIG for his pot.
So my DH went off into town and bought a bigger pot to put him into.
Oscar did not take too kindly to being moved and attacked poor DH.
“OUCH” I think DH said a bit more than that. LOL.
So off to the shed to get some protection and the trolley!!
By now I was asked politely to put the CAMERA DOWN and give DH a hand. We wrapped the heavy cloth around Oscar and put him onto the trolley. Wheeled him onto the lawn where DH transplanted him.
I hope he will be happy in his new home.
Now this guy “ Mr Hook” has given me the most beautiful display of flowers this year
BUT I do think he also needs a new pot .
Don’t think DH is keen to move him right now though!!!
P.S Don't forget FNSI this week. June 17th.
If you have never joined in and wish too just click on the link on my sidebar. I love to sit and stitch with my blogging friends all over the world.

A Winter’s Day
Today was a magnificent winters day. After I went for a walk along the Marina and foreshore
went home and did the washing.
Then I finished quilting my Aussie Block Swap quilt.
Decided to practise doing STRAIGHT free motion quilting.
Well sort of straight.
Was going along nicely when I discovered this
Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! Some reverse sewing needed to be done.
Pleased with the finish, even if it is a little wonky.
Yesterday I enjoyed seeing my girls. DD1, GD1 and
my Great Granddaughter who rarely smiles for the camera but I love the look on her little face. Is she saying,
“ I will smile when you put the camera down”
