Busy !

I’ve been busy working on many projects over this month. Working on and finishing #3 Chookshed Challenge. ✅ 

Making heaps of flying geese blocks for a border on the Down Under Quilt , ✅ 

Went through my blues to mend hubby’s Aussie Flag quilt. ✅ 

Then turned an old quilt into a cover for our big generator. Done ✅ 

I got out my bag of left over bindings as I decided to use them for my Wonderers Wife . As it is a real scrappy quilt thought  a scrappy binding to be perfect.

Happy with the finish ✅ 

And now I’ve started another squirrel 🐿️ project…  hope to finish soon and show . I will also be working on the Down Under Quilt and the last project for Chookshed Challenge #1 . Quilt hubby’s quilt.

FNSI and Chookshed Challenge Finish.

Yesterday I had a lovely day out in Geraldton with my friend Karen. First we did some shopping , had a cuppa and then off to the movies to see Downtown Abbey the Final. 

After getting dinner it was time to sit and stitch joining Wendy for FNSI 

And I worked on my Temperature Tree.

During the week I put together #3 Chookshed Challenge.

Thanks Deana for organising the challenge.

There is only #1 to go and for me that’s a quilt for hubby to use on his recliner….

Must away and make a couple of bindings for quilts I dropped off at the longarm quilter this morning.

FnwFs for September

Yesterday I joined Cheryll  and friends for FnwFs

  

In the afternoon I cut fabrics and make flying geese blocks to be the border on mine Down Under quilt I’m working on .

In the evening I sat and cross stitched the leaves on my Temperature Tree .

August Catch Up Post…

So good to able to post a completed Block #2 of the  “ Sunshine and Lollipop “ BOM which was my #7 Chookshed Challenge just in time …

I wonder what No Deana will draw for September…. I do like this challenge as it keeps me motivated. Thank you Deana…

Finally sandwiched and pinned the baby quilt and did simple serpentine stitching to quilt it.

.

I popped the roll of binding on the spool holder on the machine and it was so much easier to sew on the binding…

So good to have it finished….

Time now to catch up on my Temperature Tree….

Must away and pop on the kettle for a cuppa before I start to stitch….

FNSI

Time  just goes so fast and it’s the third Friday again so time to join Wendy and friends for FNSI …

I had fun putting together some of my #7 Chookshed Challenge .

Just have the other half to put together for part 2 .of “ sunshine and Lollypop” BOM.

Catching up…….

Over the past two weeks I’ve been catching up with my sewing 

First I made the RSC. Blocks and for this month Angela chose Aqua.

       

      

       

       Next finish July Aussie Hero blocks 

       and get the August ones made as well

I also got the binding made for the Baby Charm Pack quilt. Just need to now sandwich, pin and quilt it.

In the evenings I’ve been doing the stitching on my #7 Chookshed Challenge

And I really enjoyed listening to Tina Turner’s audio biography while sewing….

FnwFs for August

It was great to finally spend time in the Cave sewing along with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs . Was able to  up to catch up with some of my projects that have been neglected over the past few weeks.

First was to sit and stitch the leaves on my Temperature Tree. Even stitched today’s this morning.

Then on to cutting and making a start on July ‘s Aussie Hero blocks

While sewing  the block I was making the binding for the. Charm Square Baby Quilt as a leader and ender.

Deana has spun No #7 for this month’s  Chookshed Challenge for me it is “ Sunshine and Lollipop “BOM . Found the box it’s stored in and got out No #2 ….. #1 is done and I’ll be happy to just get #2 make for August.

I’ve changed a few things in my settings so hopefully your comments will be sent to my emails.

Must away and pop the kettle on.
