Chooky's Shed Party Update....

Just returned from a lovely coffee in town and thought I'd post an update on my "Windy Farm" progress.....

Had a great pajama day yesterday tracing , ironing and sewing along with Chooky and friends....

Saturday.......

now back to my  messy   Cave to do some more tracing, ironing and sewing... YEH !!!!

Sewing Along

with Chooky and Friends to help celebrate the "Chook sheds 4th Birthday". I am having a wonderful time making "Windy Hill Farm" out of Toni's Book "Happy Quilts"

First I had to go through my stash and find all the fabrics....

Yesterday I traced onto the vliesofix and then cut out the pieces for the first row....

by 10.30pm I was doing the Sun, last block on the first row when the power went out.....Grrrrr!!!


back into the Cave early this morning completed the Sun block and now sewing the top row together to add a Flower and little pig...

I am having sew much fun and it great to be enjoying sewing again...  You can still sign up for Chooky's Party HERE as it will be going all weekend.. Perfect as it is a long weekend here in the West and its raining. Nothing nicer than having a PJ day and sewing along with friends...

Just finished my coffee break sew back to the Farm.....

Is Really time for OPAM ?

Just can't believe it will be June tomorrow....I need the time to slow down but I guess that ain't going to happen.....

Pleased to be able to to post two finishes for OPAM this month big thanks to Peg and Kris who keep me going to always keep me sewing....

Happy Dance !!!!

Today I went into town to do some shopping for nice bright fabrics as there was a special deal. Spend $100 and get $40 off....
I was waiting for Toni's fantastic " Happy Quilts" book which I was lucky to win in her giveaway....

When I arrived back into town decided to go to the Post Office before driving home....I was sew delighted to have a red and white card in my mail box...which means there was a parcel inside waiting for me and guess what was inside ???

My copy of Toni's Book plus an adorable stuffed toy...Love him and have named him Tony....
Oh!! I can't wait to download some of the gorgeous patterns to make some quilts and toys ...Thank you sew much Toni.... No wonder I am doing a Happy Dance.....

I also love the quilting Fiona from BugzRugz has done on all the quilts for Toni... gives me good ideas. LOL...

Have a Patch meeting tonight and will show of my book.....

FNSI X 2

It was sew nice to find a flimsy I had started some time ago, get it sandwiched and then quilt along with Wendy for FNSI and enjoy sewing again.... thanks Wendy....

Working on something different and joining others must have done the trick for my mojo to return. Did a lot of the quilting Friday night and completed it on Saturday night. Now to finish the binding...

Also made two "Maple Leaf" blocks to send to Canada for the dear folks who lost everything in the HUGE fires...

Sue from  Super Mom -No Cape posted a fabulous tutorial on her blog to make the Maple Leaf and the address of where to send the blocks..


then sat and relaxed while doing some stitching on this SS Block....

This is the next block....PP and sew many tiny pieces as the block is 6 1/2 " finish .. Not sure if I will tackle it ???????

Off to see what the other ladies made for FNSI .

Lost

Does anyone know where my mojo is ???   I seam to have lost it.. But I am hoping by joining Wendy and the ladies on Friday for FNSI I will be inspired to put a flimsy together.

FnwFs for May

The weeks are rolling along far too quickly and before we realise it's the first Friday of the month and time to join Cheryll and 22 others for a lovely night of sewing for FnwFs...

I do enjoy these sewing nights sew thank you Cheryll for organising us ,even when you are away...

Decided to try and catch up with my Splendid Sampler blocks

and the EPP project.....

Was happy with my progress on both but I must get back to quilting my Aiming 4 Accuracy quilt.....
