Last FNSI's for 2015

I would like to give Wendy a HUGE thank you for running FNSI all year and also having a gift for someone each month….. I am looking forward to joining in again next year…

This month I sewed along on both Friday and Saturday nights as I was on a mission to make a quilt for Hubby for THIS Christmas …

                  It’s been a mammoth task but here is the Quilt. Taa Dah!!

                                       Not a bad effort for two days…

sandwiched and pinned ready to quilt…I have four days…… 

Must away and start quilting while hubby is out…. That's been the hardest part, hiding it from him..LOL

Who's joining us for FNSI...

             

 I am  sewing along with Wendy now. Do you still have some Christmas sewing to do.....You can still sign on HERE and join the ladies in the Northern hemisphere as I will be doing tomorrow night. Decided today I NEEDED to make a quilt for Hubby for Christmas......



this is what I did today.....

Cut up all the blue's in stash into 6 1/2" squares and started to sew them together.....

Just finished my dinner and cuppa sew must get back to sewing......

WOW!

I have received  lovely mail over the past two days from my blogging friends,


Christine  sent this gorgeous Felt ornament with a sweet wooden Angel,  

 From Illene a cute Snowman,  

Helen covered a little notebook with the perfect fabric and included the pattern.

and my Christmas Postcard all the way from Canada sent by Marla ( You can see the one I sent to her on my header. )

Marla also sent two lovely pounches. One has lots of different tea bags. can't wait to try them..

Happy Mail...

When I went into town yesterday to collect the mail there was a little card in my mail box amongst the letters …it means there is a parcel that was too big to fit in the box inside the Post Office….

OH it was my “Santa Sack Swap”  from my partner Carin who lives in Sweden….

Look at the lovely little parcels and those delicious lollies…they bring back memories of Christmas when I was small growing up in The Netherlands…They are special treats you can only get at that time of year..

I did squeeze and give the gifts a little shake but have popped them away sew I am not tempted to peek inside the parcels…and not eat the Lollies…

Off into town to collect the mail, wonder if there will be nice letters, not ones with windows…

Done and Dusted

for 2015….. All my swaps have been received, Christmas Cards are in the post and last night I finished the last of the christmas gifts……

these two “Kitty” Cushions ( saw them over on  Beth's blog )  have joined

the “Doggy” one waiting to be wrapped for my three Great Grand children.

The  “ BLOCK” quilt is completed for my GGD ‘s third BD on the 23rd Dec….

Now to tidy the “CAVE” ready to work on my UFOs……….

It’s Arrived….

I joined Chooky again this year for SSCS and yesterday my Parcel arrived.




Couldn’t wait to get home as I was allowed to open the small gift .

       Wonder what’s in the small box ???






I love the sweet little “Mitten” ornament and there was also a delicious chocolate but it’s disappeared…LOL..

A big thank you to Chooky and her Elf helper for another fun swap.. Also to my swap partner ????????

Off to finish my Great Grand-daughters Christmas gifts….
