After leaving Derby it was a long road
past many beautiful huge Boab trees
onto a very rough dusty track
to Tunnel Creek. Clink on link for more info.
In we go with lights on our head to see a LITTLE as we walk through the black tunnel.
Within minutes of entering we are knee deep in water and have to make our way in the DARK along the tunnel through water. Along the banks under the low hanging rocks
and back into the water again
About halfway there was a break through and I was pleased to see some
A Stalactite
Roots of trees from above go down to find water in the tiniest cracks.
Into the dark and water again. It was well above my waist now so was holding the camera under my chin.
Yes, at last we get to the opening
A small climb and we were rewarded to see some Aboriginal Rock Paintings.
Before our return through the tunnel and out the way we came.
Will post more tomorrow.
