I didn’t realise it’s been three weeks since I last posted so now to catch up..
One of the ladies at croquet asked me to make a quilt for a new baby boy. First find a pattern and then buy some new fabrics.

I chose a chevron pattern that I though would be an easy quick one to make but I keep sewing things upside down had to do a lot of unpicking so took much longer.🥲..
But I did get it together and for FNSI last night I sewed on the binding

And finished the quilt

In the evenings I am enjoying working on my crochet.🧶

Must away now and catchup on some blog reading.
Happy Stitching,
Hugs Maria 💖

Yay! She's back. Love that chevron quilt. Hey I have that wee box of fabrics too. LOL And a lovely ripple blanket.
ReplyDeleteI do like your baby quilt. Is it HSTs? Yes, three weeks is a long time between blogs, I'm so pleased you are back again.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous baby quilt. Pretty ripple blanket.
ReplyDeletebeautiful quilt. Will you make more with the other spotty fabric. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteseems like wave are the go for you -with fabric and wool!
I saw those fabric boxes on the Spotlight website and wondered what sort of quality they were. They obviously sew up OK - the quilt looks great!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish Maria and your crochet is looking gorgeous too. xx
ReplyDeletechevron quilting and crochet.... I love all your polka dot fabrics...

Chevron seems to be the theme on both projects. I can relate to you getting things back to front. The quilt turned out well in the end.
ReplyDeleteThe chevron quilt is lovely for a new baby. I did a chevron quilt once and made the same mistakes. It seems like it should go together so easily, but like pinwheels, they get out of position so easily. Your crochet is coming along so nicely.
ReplyDeleteLook at you go on that baby quilt. You make it sound like a fast project.
