FnwFs for Feb 2026

On Friday I joined in for FnwFs and was happy to have completed another block for La Passacaglia. What I'm finding hard now is to source the right fabrics for the next block.

Earlier in the afternoon I put together Block #4 of " Sunshine and Lollipop " that I've been working on for the past few weeks....

Now I've been trying to work out the next section as Anni has designed it as a square quilt and I would like to make it as a rectangle one for a single bed.....

Still can't download photos onto a post on my iPad but I'm pleased I can on my laptop even though it's tricky .😕

Must away and pop on the kettle for a cuppa.

Happy Stitching,

Hugs  Maria.💖

  1. Such lovely colours and prints in Sunshine and Lollipop. I have always posted from my laptop and never had any problems but then I guess it is what you are used to. xx

  2. Good to see La P out... there is so much in that one... and I do love your Sunshine and Lollipops... would it work just to add extra borders top and bottom to make it rectangle or are you reconfiguring the blocks?

  3. Janice and I are still having trouble with photos. But I’m glad you can still work it out on your laptop. La pasc is growing nicely. I’m sure you can add more square patches to make sunshine and lollipop a rectangular quilt.

  4. Your LaPas quilt can be made rectangle with another row of blocks and if you can't face that then yes, add extra borders.
Love the colors on Sunshine and Lollipop - the name fits well

  5. Beautiful work on both projects--and nice cheery colors--they will keep you awake when working on them!!! the other commenter's have a good idea with the extra borders--could make a couple rows of just more 4 or 9 patches using some small pieces of the fabrics in the quilt--have a great day--hugs, di

  9. I’m sure you will work out how to make progress on both your lovely quilts. I’m going to do a blog post on the work around I have found for photos. It’s cumbersome, but doable.

  11. Your LP piece is beautiful. That’s A LOT of work! I’m sure you will figure out how to make Sunshine and Lollipops rectangular. I prefer that size to square as well.
