I soon discovered the pattern was hard to follow so it was packed away that’s why it went on the challenge list.
This pattern is really doing my head in as this what you follow to make each section, there’s no block names or sizes so I need to keep looking at the picture on the inside cover to check what I need to sew.
I took a brake from #6 and to make a slip cover that hubby had asked for to pop over the car seat so Lacy doesn’t get sand on it when going to the beach…
Must away now and get some shut eye.
Happy stitching 🧵
Hugs Maria .
Oh I love your tree that you are cross stitching--what fun that will be--and I am sorry your #6 is a tough one--but it is looking good what you have gotten done--and you still have a couple weeks to 'wrestle' with it ---
ReplyDeleteI am finally getting my new sewing area organized today--maybe in a day or so I can sew again--???
hugs,di
The temperature tree is beautiful, what a great pattern. A shame about your quilt pattern, seems it's not very well written at all. Are you going to persevere with this?
ReplyDeletethat quilt is so lovely so I'm sure you will be pleased when it's done. I wonder if it will be easier to follow once you get used to her style. Great to see a few of those temperature trees happening...
ReplyDeleteHugz
Your temp tree is growing nicely. Your Wanderers Wife is very colourful. It is also coming together good.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll master that difficult pattern... & the temperature tree will be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the growth of all those temperature trees. More and more of you are busy at it.
ReplyDeleteI get why you would need a break from #6 due to a difficult pattern to read, but it will be worth it. I love what you have shown so far.
You have made a good start on your quilt but it does look complicated. I am tempted by the temperature tree - but it can wait til next year I think! xx
ReplyDeleteI've always loved that Wanderer's Wife quilt but knew it would kill me so never took it on. It's almost comforting to know it IS a killer with difficult directions. Makes me feel good I didn't go with it! All luck to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am doing the Temperature Tree, too, but don't find that tree comforting at all. I am out of touch with counted cross stitch so I can't wait for the tree to be finished and I can relax with the leaves.
Great start on your wanderer's wife. It is frustrating when a pattern is poorly written. Looks like you have it under control though. Susan tempted me with the temperature tree, but I was strong...... Still being strong......
ReplyDeleteWanderer’s Wife does sound a challenge. Two girls in my patchwork group started it, but gave up. I like your colours. Another Temperature Tree. I’m looking forward to seeing the variations between your three climates.
ReplyDeleteYour Challenge #6 really does look like a challenge.
ReplyDeleteMay your leaves sprout tonight as I hope mine do too :)
