But first I needed to service my machine and pop a new needle in.
Then I joined some wadding and two pieces of fabric which I was using for the backing as I was doing a QAYG method for the runner. As I’d made an early start it didn’t take long to finish the top and sew on the binding but it just didn’t quiet met .🤯
So I undid it and then gave the binding a little tug all the way round and then it was fine….
Not the most favourite thing I’ve made but it’s done… Do I now also make a bag??
Must away and check out what others have done HERE
Hugs. Maria 💖
A lovely finish and a great start to the year.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of your time and I love it! Gorgeous colours. xx
ReplyDeleteFunny how the uglies turn into a nice runner when you know how to arrange the colours!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on achieving your goal so early in the month. That runner looks great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful runner. Love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good trick with the binding to give you that little bit extra length
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean "Ugly Kaffe Fasset"???? LOL
ReplyDeleteThe runner looks great - you are so quick - yes you may as well make a bag too.
Well done Maria on completing the runner. QAYG meant it came together nicely for you. Whew with the binding!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! The first finish of the year. It may not be your favourite, but it has used up some stash. I wonder what bag you will try?
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing #6! It is beautiful, also well done on getting the binding to fit.
ReplyDeleteIt is a great finish. And the pressure is off now to do anything you want for the rest of the month.
ReplyDeleteAlways a good idea to clean up the machine and change needles before a good, long sewing session. Good for you to finish up something that you weren't particularly excited about. I think it's pretty. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWell done on getting project #6 finished Maria. xx
ReplyDeleteWhen you said "ugly Kaffe" jelly roll, I was gifted the same roll and thought exactly the same thing. It turned out very nice though. Crazy enough, I actually am making a Kaffe quilt right now and ordered some more of that "ugly" fabric to go with it. Some Kaffe collections are better than others.
ReplyDeleteTHis turned out beautifully. The colours are so vibrant and the fabric so pretty.
ReplyDeleteTable runner or small tablecloth is always good. Well done. I like it. Super!
ReplyDeleteYes, make a bag... I have made so many bags... I would love to see yours.
I wish you lots of fun.
A hug for you from Viola
