OPAM for March

It's the last day of the month and time to post our finishes for OPAM with the lovely Kris..who keeps us all motivated to get some finishes each month.

For me it seams to be a month of small finishes....


While cleaning the cupboard in the Cave I found four wooden coat hangers and many many years ago I received some beautifully fabric covered coat hangers from my blogging friend Christine. I used these as a pattern and now I have four lovely gifts to pop in the gift box.....

also made this pincushion from Helen's signature block..

and Kira, No 12 Sunday Stitchers Challenge, was also completed this month ,

and I finished my DD scissors keep too....

and some how these UFOs of my DDs come home with me from the big smoke......

Maybe I will get them done this month....

Must away and get some brekky and then off for my morning bob.....

BlooMerS Party

Cheryll  is having an extra  "BlooMerS"   Party  because there are 5 Saturdays this month....

Thanks Cheryll was great to get some more blocks done... now to sew the rows together.....

Sunday Again.....

After a busy few days in Perth I arrived home Monday afternoon and now it's Sunday again and another week has disappeared sew before I go for my bob I'll do a post .....

Run out of time before I finished ...  I'm back now .... Water was beautiful and today we had some Black Swans visit in the river....We swim just over the dunes in the ocean..

After the tragic shooting in Christchurch NZ  "Angels In Gumboots"  put out a call to make " Green Hearts " so they can make quilts for the families who lost loved ones....
I popped these in the post on Friday..

Last Sunday was the third Sunday of the month sew it was time for the Sunday Stitchers to draw a new number for the UFO challenge...This month is No 3.....   Mine is  "Flying Colours " wall hanging and I have been busy machine appliqueing it .

 









Now to find a suitable border , backing and then sandwich and quilt....

The art group in Dongara are Fabric Bombing the trees along the walkway around the river and asked the Patch Group if they could make some long strips to wind around the trees...

Years ago I was in a Signature Swap and the blocks have been hiding in a box for the past 9 years sew I decided it was time to use them and a pile of charm squares to donate to the Art Group....

  

This one sewn by Helen I just couldn't part with sew I made a nice new pincushion for myself.....

  

Yesterday I spent the day at Patch with others from our group making our raffle quilt for our Triennal Hanging in October....

We were all busy some sewing , others sorting strips and ironing that no photos were taken but this is the pattern.

Must away and make a coffee before tackling some housework.......

FNSI or should it be SNSI

 I didn't get to sew last night for FNWFs  as I'm spending time at my DDs in the big smoke. We had a lovely evening out instead of sewing , just the girls, my DD , GD and I . Then this morning we went for some brekky before  shopping .. Sew tonight we decided it was time to relax and sew along with Wendy for SNSI with the ladies from the Northern Hemisphere...

DD had a very long awaited UFO. Her scissors keep she started when we went to a Lynette Anderson workshop in Geraldton back in March 2017 sew I finished it for her ....

Yah!!!!!! done .





DD worked on making a new quilo top to go with this book ....

It always lovely to sew along with my DD and all my virtual friends too...

Must away now as it's time for bed after a full day...

BlooMeRs Party.....

As I was off to the big smoke on Wednesday I make my BlooM Block 6 early ....

and joined it to No 5. It's fun see these Blooms grow as I never have any luck in the garden...

I will be sewing with my DD tonight and joining a late FNSI with Wendy and posting later ...

Must away and go shopping with DD and GD.

Poof !!!!!

That's how I feel about this week...... It just disappeared ..... so before another week just goes must do a post.

Had fun making  "Kira" Koala's dungarees  ( my No 12 for the Sunday Stitchers UFO challenge)  and  took her out for a photoshoot in the gum tree...

Now No 12 is complete I'm looking forward to seeing what No will be draw next Sunday ?????

Also spent some time this week counting sheep , it's another one on my UFO list and it would be nice if  6 was drawn as I've made a start ??

The pattern is "Scrappy Sheep"  designed by Toni Alexander

and then on Friday I realised that next Tuesday is our  Days for Girls  monthly meet and I had a pile of shields to sew .....

I will have them done . This is were I'm at tonight. The pile nearest the machine only need top stitching .... The others will have the ends sewn down, turned , ironed and then top stitched....

Well must away , have a shower and go to bed as it's nearly midnight......
