OPAM finishes for SEPT

Were there really four weeks in September because it only felt like a week it went by sew quickly, but it is September 30th , time to join the lovely ladies  Peg and Kris for OPAM and post our finishes.........

This month I worked on a long term UFO and got the striped binding on yesterday........

 


Finished 30 shields for " Days for Girls "

and my huge quilt " Soul Searching" which I've donated to Days for Girls  to raffle at our Larry Lobster Festival........

Thanks Peg and Kris for keeping me motivated to have finishes each month.....

Must away and get ready to drive to Mingenew to pick up "On Ringo Lake " from the longarm quilter... YEH!!!!

FNSI for September...

Last night I did the last few stitches on "Harriet the Homebody" from My Angel's Story....

and then sewed together all my pieces of oranges and corals  to make 9mts of binding ready to put onto " On Ringo Lake" when it returns from the longarm quilter.....

Earlier in the day I made two blocks for Aussie Heros  sew I could pop them in the post when I dropped hubby at RSL.

It's Time.

Finally

I'm off for a drive to Mingenew ( 54 kms away) to deliver "On Ringo Lake" to the longarm quilter.

It's a lovely Spring sunny day and on the way there are many farms with fields of golden canola and on the verges there'll be gorgeous yellow, pink and white wildflowers.....

May even pop into the little bakery thats makes the best coffee and then to choose something  delicious to go with it.......😋

I had a marathon weekend

of quilting and sewing binding...

Took lots of photos but just can't seam to get the perfect colours...  Too dark..

with the photo bomber Lacy  (too light)

Still not the true colours but you get the idea.....

FnwFs

Yesterday I  joined the lovely Cheryll and friends for FnwFs and I was pleased to have been organised to get a good start on quilting this huge quilt....

 I stippled all the coloured blocks and am doing straight lines ( well they are kinda straight ) in the grey....I am over halfway and it would be great to get the quilting done over the weekend.... 😃

There are lots of threads to sew away and then the binding to make and put on.

May join all the coloured fabrics from the blocks and do a scrappy binding ???? What do you think ??

As it's the first Friday of the month tomorrow it's time to join the lovely  Cheryll HERE for another fun night of sewing for FnwFs.......

While I was in the big smoke I picked up a couple of backings at only $10 a mtr. The grey one was perfect for "Soul Searching"




















I went to Patch this week to sandwich and pin it ready to quilt on FnwFs.

I have finally unpacked the box of projects I took to retreat and realised I hadn't shown you these that  I had worked on....















Two " An Angels Story" blocks....

and also a couple of  "Foxes "
