I bought the material way before Christmas and planned to have them up when the family came BUT that didn't happen ....
Managed to get the two pieces sewn together and the top sewn when I just couldn't be bothered doing any more. I really don't like sewing curtains... sew I sat and stitched the cross stitch...
Much more relaxing.....

Curtains can be a pain - they are so big and awkward. Do you have to match the pattern, or is it enough of an all-over design that it doesn't matter? Good luck with them, anyway!

ReplyDeleteWow - 900 posts - that's a lot! I don't love sewing curtains either but do feel accomplished when they are done. When at my daughter's a couple of weeks ago I noticed the ones I made her a few years ago are still in use. They have birds on them.

I'm with you about sewing curtains but when I bought fabric for my bedroom curtains, I found one that was 280 cms wide - no joining seams! Your cross stitch is very pretty and much more fun.

Gosh 900 posts is a massive tally! Good on you making a start on the curtains....it won't be so bad when you get back to them as there won't be as much to do. That looks like a cute little cross stitch.
