This month I only have some little finishes,
A Quilt of Love,
Mug Rugs and a Candle Mat,
A Wonky Christmas Tree,
and of course the Doggy PJ bag that you can see HERE…
I have put my OWLS together but am waiting for some border fabrics and my Pretty Fence and Rail Flimsy needs to to sandwiched . Hope to have both finished for next month.
Look forward to seeing what everyone else has completed for OPAM. thanks to Peg and Kris who keep us on track each month….

I’m Back from Retreat!!! Long post
Linda picked me up at 8am on Friday for our 4 day retreat at Avalon. Such a pretty place tucked away in the hills at Toodyay.
We arrived at round 4pm after a little detour through Midland for some shopping and nice lunch. We quickly unpacked the car and set up as everyone was already busy cutting , sewing and chatting . Hmm! some were txt too…
One of our members, Loris, was making a PJ Doggy Bag for her youngest GS and asked if others would like to join her. Six of us sewed along.
this is my poor guy before stuffing.
looking better but still needing a nose…
with all his friends sitting on the back of the lounge chair,
Oh! wait Beatrice’s Purple fella is now ready to join with the others for the outdoor photo shoot.
The old fella on the right is about 12 yrs and came along sew we could see how he went together.. Made it a bit easier....
I have taken this Kit with me to several retreats over the years and this time I have finally cut and stitched the Snowballs. Wonder when I will put them together…
Also managed to do some secret sewing on my Summertime mini.
Some of us stayed up till the wee small hours
even though Helen's glasses lost an arm (easily fixed with tape ah! )
and Beatrice was feeling the cold….
We finally went to bed round 1am....
Patch Friends,
Linda pinning her quilt.
Val’s “Hexagon”Jelly Roll Flimsy,
and she also made the cute Bunny on the chair. At 86 Val is amazing and has no intention of slowly down, only hope I am still as active as her at that age.
Jan M’s “Forrest Path” Jelly Roll Flimsy.
Pam’s sewing table mat….
Jan A’s “Bag” for her GD1
Monday morning the room all packed up
and we are ready for the drive home through the lovely misty morning.
What a fabulous 4 days of just being spoilt, I loved it.

CTTY for August, New SAL and BOM
Nice to see Anthea is well enough to organise us for CTTY again this month. Thanks my friend.
Some time ago "Sweet Peg" made these. I thought they were cute sew bought the pattern.
Now I have two to pop in the Gift Box.
I’m a real sucker for SAL's and BOM’s. Remember I joined Terry for “Goodnight Irene”. Well Terry is running another SAL called “"Charming Stars"
and I found this over at Wendy's.
Making these is a great way of using up the stash and make lovely community quilts.
Must away and do some housework because I am off to a four day retreat tomorrow……Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!

FNSI for August….
How quickly the weeks fly by and before I could blink it is time to join Wendy and 51 others for FNSI.. But before I can start anything I need to find my cutting table.
Before
Better……..
Then I cut and sewed together four of my five “Scrappy Swap” blocks..
Only have the Low Volume one to do ?????
Then I played with some “Disappearing Hour Glass” blocks.
Like the way they look together for a little "Quilt of Love"..
Afterwards I did a bit of stitching on this…
Quilty Stitches Sampler SAL.
Hope you all had fun creating. I am off now to see what others did for FNSI

There has been
some lovely parcels coming in the post….
Can you see that one has come from Germany. It come from Julia my swap partner for the Quilting Gallery's Summertime Memories Swap.
Look at the beautiful His and His Rugs she made for me…..
Julia also included lots of extra goodies. Love the matching note book, buttons, beads and the magic strawberry flannel. There were also some fruit jells which were NICE !! Thanks to both Julia and Michelle.
and sometimes in the small wee hours I have been known to press buttons and these have now arrived.
From Green Fairy…..
The Fat Quarter Shop
and some nice backings from The Craft Depot.
Hmmm!! Now I need to think about what to make with my purchases….
