FnwFs

Had a great night sewing along with my blogging friends last night and worked on my 2nd Aiming for Accuracy Block.

010

The Sew-A-long is teaching me to be more precise and I am trying the open seam method too. This way the seams seam to be easier to match up and less bulky.

002

Here are the 1st and 2nd Blocks.

Also finished two swap projects…

Sorry this is all I can show you… Do you like my “Spider” ???

and I enjoyed making this little “Quilt of Love” too…

Thank you ChERlLy for organising us for another great FnwFs. Will go over now and see what you all have been sewing.

  11. Your A4A blocks are beautiful! I reverted back to nesting my seams when I joined the top and bottom rows to the centre row but I then ironed that seam open so still not too much bulk. I do find that spraying the blocks with Crisp is making the piecing so much more accurate. I did sew last night but didn't link up with FNWF's, but I was thinking about you all as I sewed!

  23. I should probably be doing the Accuracy project, but I didn't get started. You're always so sneaky with your swap photos, and you make adorable spiders. As spiders go. Cute little baby quilt!

  32. Your blocks look great..Pressing seams open is what I learned to do when I first learned to sew when I was in Junior High. At the fair our seams were part of what we were judged. Your gifts are lovely!
