The Week that was………
Actually it’s more than a week since I posted…. My days just fly by…
Monday I decided it was time I cleaned out the cave. It took me two days.
Halfway through it looked worse than when I started.
Can’t believe this is my CAVE. Wonder how long it will be like this.
I even tidied all my stitchery patterns and put them in my lovely folder Christine made for me.
I can now find things in the cupboard.
Did a good job at filling the big garage bag…..
Now I could get into some serious quilting on my Henrietta Whiskers and Friends quilt. It has been under the machine all week. By Friday I had it all finished.
Then I worked on another UFO. A sewing caddy I started years ago at a CWA workshop. Sew now I have two finishes for this month.
Oh! Also received some nice mail
My Swap Block from France.
A great pattern book from Teresa and cute FQs came from the US
Another beautiful pattern book from Marls in NZ.
and my label for the Christmas Tree wall hanging from Sunny in the US. Sunny had not put one on when she sent it earlier.
Now it is stitched on.
Thank you Ladies…
Yesterday DH come home from the shop with these…….
Love them….
Wishing you all a wonderful week.

FNSI and The Workshop……..
Last night for FNSI I managed to finish sewing the Flying Geese rows and attach them to my “Friendship Medallion Quilt”
“Going Dotty”
Also got more of my “Postage Stamp rows sewn together.
Now it was after midnight and I had to service my machine, pack it up with my other bits to go to a Kaleidoscope workshop with "The Patch" ladies later today.
after getting set up in the hall, first thing was to iron my 4 1/2 metres of fabric.
Then fold it into six. Being sure to align the fabrics repeats correctly. Then the fun begins, placing two pins in the top at precise points and “Fruufing” it to get the pattern to match correctly.( We HOPE ) Then LOTS more pinning and patience. LOL.
At this point I was ready to give up BUT I persisted thanks to Jo our tutors help and encouragement.
Finally after a few hours of fiddling and pinning it was time to cut my fabric into rows.
Then the rows into Triangles. Being sure to pin each little group together.
At last I could see why we had to pin so precisely and
I LOVE how each Kaleidoscope blocks are turning out. Mind you there is a lot of sewing to do before it becomes a quilt.
Off to the cave now to unpack and do some sewing.
Hope you all have a great stitching weekend.

Over the last few days….
I have been busy cutting and gluing more hexies
finally completing the next row on my Friendship Medallion “Going Dotty”
received my lovely Christmas block from Leena
a sneak peek of the block I just sent to France for Isabelle.
Then yesterday a big parcel arrived so today I washed all the fabrics.
they dried in no time with the HOT wind.
