# 1 The last Chookshed Challenge No.

Just in time I have finished #1 , the last Chookshed Challenge No…. By the end of this month.

It is a quilt for hubby to use on his recliner and I used a pattern from one of the calendars I get each year that has twelve free patterns in. 

As it’s a scrappy quilt I joined these left over bindings together to use on the quilt….

A huge thank to Deana for organising the Challenge for 2025 . With you helping me along all year with the challenge I managed to finish #8 projects and work on La Passacaglia blocks and also the “ Sunshine and Lollipop “ BOM. So could mark of all my challenge Nos….

Must away to pop on the kettle.

Extra FNSI .

Even though my GD and GDD were having a sleep over last night I still managed to join in for FNSI with Wendy in the afternoon to finish my Aussie Hero blocks.

As they went to bed at 9.30 pm for an early morning start , 6 am, for their drive onto Bunbury I was able to go into the Cave and stitch some leaves on my Temperature Tree. 

I think my tree isn’t true to the pattern but is growing just fine anyway.

Also got my last Chookshed Challenge under the machine and did a few rows before bed time.

FNSI for October and others….

Last night for FNSI I worked on another block for La Passacaglia….

As I haven’t done a post for a few weeks will show you what I’ve been up too ….

First I finished my “ Down Under “ quilt designed by Toni from Red Boot Company 

I think that Squirrel 🐿️ of Lou’s jumped over the ditch and came across the Nullarbor as I’ve been playing with a few 

First is this pouch . Saw Shez had made several and decided I needed one to pop in my threads when going to workshops, retreats etc. so bought the pattern . Fun make.

Next I wanted to knit a jumper for a friend’s daughter who’s expecting. 

Of course I want to also knit the cute boots but as I’m not a great knitter thought to make a trail one in the red wool I had first…

Then I saw that the folks I follow on instagram who are wild life carers needed wee baskets/pouches for the tiny wombats and possums they look after .

So onto uTube to learn to crochet 🧶.

After few (many) starts I got the hang of it and am happy with how they turned out.

Now I must get back to making this months Aussie Hero blocks and quilt the last Chookshed Challenge for 2025…. 

Must away and bring in the washing.

FnwFs for October.

Always great to join Cheryll  for FNwFs as I seem to get myself organised to spend time in the Cave.

Before starting any sewing my machine needed to be cleaned and serviced.

Then onto a UFO I found while cleaning up the cupboard.

There wasn’t much to be done just finish the quilting and add borders 

So happy to have this done as it was gifted to me by my SIL for my 70th birthday and that was many years ago. 

Later I finally finished this block for La Passacaglia and glued some pieces for the next block.

After dinner I sat and stitched some leaves on my Temperature Tree.
