May Chookshed Challenge completed.

On the 12th of MAY I ordered some spotty fabric for borders on my #8 Chookshed Challenge from Perth. After several phones calls promising the fabric was sent it still hadn’t arrived by yesterday so had to go with aqua border to finish “My Little Dragon” quilt made from last year’s RSC blocks. 

I’m actually happy with the aqua border and it’s nice to have another baby quilt ready for the donation box.

  

  

For June Deana has chosen #5 . On my list that is the Hexie Pouch which I have finished so will need to find another project. 

As I have the jelly roll quilt sandwiched and pinned may be a good to get the one done…..

Thanks heaps Deana for keeping me on track and getting projects done.

Must away and see what others have done for the challenge.

FNSI

As Wendy was  busy last Friday she organised FNSI for tonight. I always enjoy joining in as I seem to get my Cave tidied and find a project or two to work on.

First I finished my Aussie Hero blocks .

Then I traced more animals ready to iron onto material and made a start on the sewing , 

  Now I’m going to glue some templates for my next La Passacaglia block.

What have you been working on tonight?

Must away now and get those blocks ready.

Catch up post.

I haven’t had the head space to sit and do much lately but thought it was time to do a post . I have mainly been doing some hand sewing in the evenings and put together my hexie pouch.

Also started to sew some of the La Passacaglia blocks together. Still have many more to make.

And been putting my Chookshed Challenge blocks together . But need some more spotty fabric so have to wait till it’s sent to me from Perth.

FnwFs for May.

I’m so pleased to have Cheryll organise this month’s  FnwFs …. Going into the Cave to cut up some FQs into 2 1/2 “ strips for our patch group’s  “Jelly Roll “ workshop the next day was so good for me….

 

It kept me busy most of the evening and later I did some more leaves 🍂 on my temperature tree and started sewing the hexies together for the pouch.

 

Must away as it’s time to get some shut eye.

Chookshed Challenge

For Chookshed Challenge this month Deana has drawn the # 8 and for me that is to make a quilt from the Dragons I made for the RSC last year…. There only 8 blocks so I’ll need to see how to make them into a small quilt.

Must away and have some Brekky.
