OPAM for November just before Midnight

Can you believe it is December tomorrow, well it will be in Aussie……
Even though I have had MANY finishes this month they cant be posted for OPAM till the end of December as they are all flying over to their new owners.

I did finished these little guys and I do love them…

SSCS and Santa Sack Arrived…

Each year Elf Chooky organises the SSCS. My parcel arrived on Friday along with my Santa Sack Swap organised by Elf Cheryll.





For the SSCS we send our partner an ornament, which they can open now, and a main gift for Christmas Day.

My Partner was Lou from over the ditch, NZ, and she spoilt me with lots of gifts








and this was the one I could open. Lou has made me this gorgeous “ Button Ornie “ Must have taken ages to make.   Thank you sew much Lou for all my gifts.
 Looking forward to opening day.…






The other parcel was from my Santa Sack partner Keryn and look at the fabulous way she packed my gifts into this adorable box. Thank you Keryn…How I am suppose to wait till to open these lovely gifts..









It will be very difficult sew after giving them a squeeze and feel I have put them back neatly in the box like they arrived and put them into the linen cupboard along with Lou’s gifts.






What is it they say “Out of sight ,out of mind” I hope….. Till Christmas….

Busy Few Days

Driving home after a busy few days in the city for hubby’s appointments it was thundering and lighting with lots of strong winds most of the way. Then, not too far from home, we noticed fires in the distance. It is always scary in the hot dry weather. We were lucky to get through on the Hway as it was closed soon after. Thankfully those fires have now been contained. Those volunteers are great people.

On our arrival home at 6.30pm we had NO power. That means NO water as we supply our own with pumps from our tanks. We do have a generator to keep the fridge going, some light and a tele. It didn’t go back on till 12.30pm yesterday . After a lovely long shower I went into town did some shopping and picked up a parcel and look what was inside…….





isn’t he just the cutest !! He was made by clever KERYN.

I did a Double FNSI

I have enjoyed two fun nights sewing along with friends for FNSI thanks to Wendy.
Friday night I joined ladies in the Southern Hemisphere and made my GGDs  B/D  gift….  A personalised HUGE cushion cover.... 







and tonight it was the ladies from the Northern hemisphere to join in and I did too.


I found these little guys while cleaning the cave on Friday sew it was nice to work on them again.







I finished one and hope to finish the others before Christmas to hang in the house…

Done and Dusted for 2014

I always make a list sew I can keep on track with my projects and I was delighted to have finally ticked off the last one.  






these gifts are all packed and I popped them in the post while Lacy was having her “DO”

After Lacy’s photo shoot I tidied the “Cave” and now I have a clean cutting table ready for FNSI….. Have you signed up yet??

Charm Square Stars & FNSI

I have been very busy the past few weeks with secret stuff sew it was nice to sit down and sew some Charm Square Stars and that I can post for November.





Now I have 12 but I think I will do some more and maybe put sashing in between.

Lucky Me and Lacy

On my return from retreat there were two parcels at the post office..



The first one is from Barb and look what was inside,



The scarf is sew soft and such pretty , lovely purple fabrics and threads as well as yummy MMs  BUT wait there was more



Two great beige tone on tones FQs with some beautiful Cottage Garden thread. AND did you see the little parcel ? That was for Lacy look what was inside !!!!




Please Please open them for me Mum ????? Lacy says "Woof Woof" thank you Barb..


the other parcel come from dear Illene





and she also spoilt me with two lovely FQs , fabulous threads, sweet Christmas cross stitch , quilt label and a gorgeous birthday card.


Then yesterday another parcel arrived from the lovely Peg.




A pretty sewing caddy made with Lynette Anderson fabrics and delicious Lindt choccies… ( all gone now )





and inside she had tucked away two FQs , some fabulous linen and a cute stitchery pattern.


and guess what ????      YEP !!  today there was another gift in the post. This time from Simone




A nice beige tone on tone FQ , cute owl tape measure and a new unpick. ( I can never have enough of them as they always disappear. )


I am enjoying my continuous birthday and a HUGE thank you to all the lovely ladies who sent me wonderful birthday gifts… XXXX

I spent FnwFs at The Barn with my friends at retreat and managed to finish three Secret gifts.

and my OWL quilt on the bed… Everyone loved it..








Also helped my DD pin a HUGE quilt she is making for me…









After a fabulous few days at retreat I am spending the night at DDs helping finish costumes for my GDs concert..











Then home in the morning……
