Opening my gifts a Day Late

For “ Christmas In July” as we have been away in the Big Smoke but it was well worth the wait. Look at my beautifully wrapped gifts I received from Debra at Sweet Little Cottage…





and inside were these gorgeous gifts…





A “ Swag of Bright Stars” with jingle bells on. A table centre with Perfect Xmas trees and a Snowman ornament to hang in the tree. Like the special label Debra stitched..



Debra also added some special HOT spices as an extra treat……

FNSI with WENDY

It was sooooooooooo cold last night ( 0 deg ) that it was nice to sit in the cave with heater on and sew…….
I found my AUSSIE Swap Blocks and decided to put them together.



Really like the way the flimsy looks hanging in the trees this morning. Love all the blocks but especially the one with the wave hand stitched by Ank . It was more luck than design that the wave is the right way. LOL.




I always have something under my machine as leaders and enders  so I also completed two “  Round the World Scrappy Blocks.”





Last night was the first  FNSI with WENDY who has kindly taken over for a few months while Heidi and Bobbi have a break. Thank you Wendy. I had a great night stitching along with my blogging friends.

A change in the Weather and my OFW project..

yesterday it was such a nice sunny day I stopped as I drove along the ocean road and took this photo…




but today as I was sitting in the cafe opposite the Marina the sky turned black and down come the rain.






Louise and I did get wet on our walk today…Brrrrrr!!!!!

Had a great night sewing along with my blogging friends last night and worked on my 2nd Aiming for Accuracy Block.



The Sew-A-long is teaching me to be more precise and I am trying the open seam method too. This way the seams seam to be easier to match up and less bulky.



Here are the 1st and 2nd Blocks.




Also finished two swap projects…

OFW , GOODIES in the POST and more on the RETREAT

Signed in for OFW with Karen and friends but I didn’t complete a flower but got these ready to stitch together for mine next SAL project.





This week I  received my Aussie Swap Blocks from Erin




and my gorgeous “Lets Celebrate” gifts from Clare.

At our retreat we worked hard…….



ate lots of good food…



sew I had to go for a long walk….



I finished quilting my Bali Jelly Roll quilt. worked on some secret projects, sewed some bright blocks, pinned this “Star” quilt and started to quilt it.





Was pleased at what I got done at retreat and had a fabulous relaxing time with my friends.

Back Home Again

after a fabulous few days away visiting my DD and family overnight, before going to our Retreat at Avalon in Toodyay.
