Last WOOFA for the year...

As it is the last WOOFA for the Year I would like to thank Cheryll for running the linky each month ..It helped keep me interested in getting some finishes and then work on "Urban Owls" I had hoped to completed the top of "Urban Owls" but this didn't because I cut the pieces for the last rows too small it put me behind and because I had no more of that fabric had do lots of fudging...... I have the EPPed sections done

and now need to do 32 X 6 1/2" pinwheels to completed the last border.

Sew I guess "Urban Owls" will be on the WOOFA list  for next year.....

Oh and don't forget to go over to Wendy's  for the last FNSI for 2020.. You could join in and maybe work on a last minute gift.....

Must away to watch " The Beatles"

Wishing one and all a Happy Christmas and stay safe...

Hugs  Maria ❤

Busy Week....

I've had a busy week with a quick trip to the big smoke to visit family and do same Christmas shopping... One thing I always enjoy about driving down to Perth this time of year is seeing all the Western Australian Native Christmas Trees in bloom...

They grow along both sides of the road and even though it a scruffy looking tree the flowers are gorgeous....

I got home on Wednesday for our Patch Christmas dinner. I was to busy chatting to get any photos of the table etc.                                                          We don't exchange gifts but each member donates non perishable foods to make hampers for folk in our town for Christmas... but we did receive a small goodie bag to take home''

Today I decided it was time to go into the Cave and do some sewing on my WOOFA challenge "Urban Owls" The last border has more Foundation Piecing to do sew I busily cut out the 7" strips to be cross cut into 3" X 7" but when I went to sew them they were a bit short....

after re- reading the instructions properly realised I had to cut them 3" X 7 1/2" ..

Now I either have cut more or do some fudging....

Must away and put the kettle on for a cuppa before I decide ?

Stay Safe n Well...

     Happy Christmas   Maria XX

FNSI and OPAM plus WOOFA for November 2020

I had an early start for FNSI with the lovely Wendy yesterday and finished the Spiky Rows that I have now joined together for "Urban Owls"  which is my WOOFA with Cheryll

Then after dinner I quilted the table runner that Anorina kindly shared on her BLOG for free and I have made as a gift for a friend that doesn't read my blog so I can show you.

I will definitely be making some more of these as they are sew quick and easy to make...

As it was still early enough to do some more sewing I did some more secret stuff.

This is the only finish I can show you this month for OPAM with the wonderful KRIS who has keep me on track to make sure there is at least one finish each month.....  Thanks Kris..

A little quilt made for the PICU..  Do hope to get a boy one made soon to sent along with this one.

Must away as it's time to bring in the washing.....

Take care and stay safe..

It's been a strange week....

Weather wise it's been crazy, some days nice enough to go for my morning dip but yesterday it rained and again this morning so the sea was to rough to go in... Hopefully tomorrow...

Sewing wise I have completed my Secret Sewing and popped it into the post ( will show you after the reveal )  . Then it was time to make some Shields for "Days for Girls"

After sewing 30 Shields

By sewing through  five layers , one being a hospital grade plastic,  it was time to service the machine and put in  new needle.

but I got sidetracked and started cleaning out my draws

I managed to do two

but this one can wait....

Now I've cleaned the machine and filled some bobbins ready to start a new project....

Hope you are all keeping well and have some time to sew over the weekend...

Must away as it's time to go for a coffee...

Hugs Maria❤
