Home Again, Parcels and some Owls….

After a busy few days away catching up with family and then off to retreat it is always nice to be home again..

It is even nicer when there is a parcel waiting for me to unwrap.. Sew good to have an extended birthday…

FNSI at York….

I got to York at about 3pm Friday and helped set up our room for sewing. Sorry no photos as the batteries in the camera were flat…Grrrrrrrrrrr !!!!
But was able to take photos of what I worked on later …..
Finished this table runner…




and two more place mats… Finished the binding today.

Sheila organises a Postcard Swap and my arrived from Linda in Canada, a few days ago. I can post it now as mine has arrived at Linda’s yesterday.





Look at that small foundation piecing. I love these small miniatures. such fun to work on and each one is special. Thank you Linda it’s just sew just gorgeous.

Oh must away as I am off now for my 4 hour drive to Perth, overnight stay there and then on to York for the retreat.

What I have been up Too and time for FNSI…..

OMGoodness I just what the time to slow down a little…. Can’t believe it’s Wednesday again!!!!!!!!
Didn’t realise I had forgotten to post about a workshop we did at Patch on Nov. 2nd…. We learnt to make Christmas Baubles….





We had a great day with lots of laughs, chatting, eating and drinking and getting some work done…




All lined up and they do look pretty…



I have been very busy sewing Secret Stuff which is now all packed up and ready to be posted.







On Friday I started a quilt from this book for a friend from Zumba…








I cut, sewed, sandwiched and quilted all weekend and was pleased to be able to give her the finished quilt at Zumba on Tuesday…






Oh!!! and don’t forget to sign up for FNSI. Always nice to join Wendy and all the other folk for a night of crafting…..





must go and peg the washing and do the house before going to retreat on the weekend..

it was off to Melbourne cup Luncheon with the Patch Ladies at Alison’s and Jeff’s home ..

I was so busy enjoying the company and view that I didn’t take any photos of all the delicious food,



But Jeff did manage to snap me licking my lips while cutting my HUGE Black Forest Birthday cake baked by my friend Linda..




and he also took a lovely photo of the Happy Group outside on the deck..




and in the evening DH took me out to dinner…..
I had the best Birthday thanks to everyone and now it’s off to bed..

FnwFs

On Friday night I joined 39 friends to sewing along for FnwFs.
I made two “Quilts of Love” flimsy's and got them sandwiched and pinned…








Hope to quilt them today ???
