“Going Dotty”
Also got more of my “Postage Stamp rows sewn together.
Now it was after midnight and I had to service my machine, pack it up with my other bits to go to a Kaleidoscope workshop with "The Patch" ladies later today.
after getting set up in the hall, first thing was to iron my 4 1/2 metres of fabric.
Then fold it into six. Being sure to align the fabrics repeats correctly. Then the fun begins, placing two pins in the top at precise points and “Fruufing” it to get the pattern to match correctly.( We HOPE ) Then LOTS more pinning and patience. LOL.
At this point I was ready to give up BUT I persisted thanks to Jo our tutors help and encouragement.
Finally after a few hours of fiddling and pinning it was time to cut my fabric into rows.
Then the rows into Triangles. Being sure to pin each little group together.
At last I could see why we had to pin so precisely and
I LOVE how each Kaleidoscope blocks are turning out. Mind you there is a lot of sewing to do before it becomes a quilt.
Off to the cave now to unpack and do some sewing.
Hope you all have a great stitching weekend.
