Home Again!!

After spending a busy but lovely a week in Perth I arrived home again today.

Love the cute little tin I received from my DD2,
Ohhh!!! Look what is inside.
Perfect to snack on while we play Banana grams.

Saturday we went to watch my GS2 receive his Yellow Belt Certificate in Karate. It was celebrated with a Chinese Dragon Dance.

GS2 is forth from right.

We went to see "Toy Story" which we all really enjoyed.
Kids just cuddling under a quilt watching TV. While DD2 and I were playing more Bananagrams.

Of course we also went shopping. I just had to have these fabrics.

Look at the cute owls. I hope to make a Baby Quilt out of these fabrics.

These are just because.
Now I am off to bed.
Have to get back into sewing tomorrow.

Some Finishes and Siggy's.

I am off to the big smoke for a few days tomorrow.

So thought I would just post my second Early Bird Christmas Crafting challenge.

A set of three tea towels. A very practical gift but I will put something interesting in with the parcel.

Two more lovely Siggy's I received.

I am getting a good collection of them now.
Can nearly make a nice lap quilt.

A Busy Day.

Had a lovely breakfast with some of the swimming ladies this morning. Don't catch up often in the winter months so it was nice to sit and chat.
Then home to do the house and some washing. Was a funny day, raining, dark clouds but occasionally  the sun was shining too.
This afternoon it was lovely to sit and sew.

I made this table runner as part of the  Early Bird Christmas Crafting challenge for a special person.

I stitched the centre piece from a free pattern kindly designed by Jenny.

Then I had fun making the needle case for the Swap at The Quilting Gallery run by Michele.

I will pop it in the post for it's long journey tomorrow.

Fun Day

Today some of the ladies from The Patch went along to a "Free Motion Quilting" workshop.
Lesley Finch from Finishes Nest was coming along to teach use a few tricks.

We needed to draw up and pin three 1mt X 1mt quilts for homework.

Lesley explaining how we can do lovely borders with free motion quilting.
Gather around ladies while I demonstrate how to draw up with templates.

I had a great day and learnt a lot. Especially that I need lots of practise.

Red Apples/ Green Apples

Had fun today making these.

Red Apples and Green Apples
Cushion Covers. They are gifts to put into my Xmas Box for the  Early Bird Christmas Crafting.

This month the challenge was to make something for the home with only two colours.

Tonight I sat and stitched while I watched one of my favorite movies AGAIN .

Chilly Weather & Nice Mail

It has been extremely cold over the past two weeks.

This was the temperature at 8.30 am.

Look at the lawn.

The worst part about having frosts is it has killed many of my plants as well as the lawn.

When I went to get my mail later today I received a lovely squishy from Cat. She had a giveaway which I was lucky enough to win.

Lots of gorgeous fabric, braids and some antique buttons that were her Aunts.
