FNSI for July

Earlier in the week I went down to Patch and pinned the "Monsters" ready to start quilting for FNSI with the lovely Wendy and all our online friends.....

BUT I got side tracked and joined some wadding together

and started quilting "Fernhill" by Lynette Anderson.

and I kept going till it was completely finished at 1.30 am....

Grrr! I have taken so many photos of this and just can't get a nice shot with it's true colours but you get the idea.....

Love the border fabric. I bought it some time ago for a swap project for my friend Christine and then saved the remainder for this wall hang.
Just perfect don't you think ?

Yesterday afternoon I called into Patch and the ladies where cutting up some donated fabrics for community quilts sew I took a pile home and cut one out.....

Now I am ready for our big sewing day planned for August...

Hope you all had a great evening of stitching with Wendy and 20 other lovely ladies...
I'll enjoy visiting them HERE to see what you've all been doing...

Happy Stitching
Hugz Maria:)

  10. You did get a lot done in that sewing session. Thst fabric was perfect as the border for your wall hanging. If it was me, I probably would have put it away to yse and then forgotten where I put it. Lol

  15. Your little monster quilt is so stinking cute! One of my favorite things is sewing batting together - I can just sew as fast as possible. No need to worry about it as it will be inside the quilt. LOL Yes that border is perfect and I love the Fernhill quilt. I wish I could stay up late and finish a project but I start making too many mistakes. Wonderful quilt!
